At Carlton Company we are proud of our achievements and commitment to quality. In 1993, Shane Behbahany joined the Carlton team as Product Development Engineer and was promoted to Chief Engineer in 1995. Shane brought extensive experience of chainsaw cutting attachment development and manufacturing application experience to the company. His focus was to continue developing new products and improve our manufacturing and quality practices. In 1998 he led the team to standardize the company's policies and procedures and achieved ISO 9001:1994 certification.

When we received ISO 9001:1994 certification in 1998 we established a benchmark for our progressive goal of continuous improvement. In 2003 Carlton Company received ISO 9001:2000 standard certification and is recognized as a UL registered firm.

What is ISO 9001:2000?

ISO (International Standardization Organization) is the world's largest developer of standards. It is a network of the national standards institutes of 148 countries with one member per country and a Secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland that coordinates the system. They are a voluntary, non-government organization without legal authority to enforce their implementation. Adoption of any or all of the ISO standards is a commitment made by each company. ISO recognized the contribution of a standardized program to achieve and maintain a level of quality products and services worldwide. Without these standards, inconsistent quality would persist and an overall acceptance of lower values would prevail.
